Design approach
Our design direction focused on capturing the balance of rustic charm and refined elegance at the heart of the Wooladon experience. Using the estate’s brand palette of soft greens, warm neutrals and copper tones, we created a calm, welcoming visual style that reflects the surrounding landscape and the warmth of a family-run venue.
Strong, atmospheric photography was central to the design. We built the layouts to showcase the estate’s impressive wedding imagery, using spacious composition and thoughtful typography to give couples an immediate sense of place and possibility.
Website development
The website was developed in WordPress, giving Wooladon’s marketing team full control as the venue grows. To support this, we created a flexible library of custom components, including FAQ accordions, gallery sliders, testimonial blocks and a range of text–image layouts, allowing the team to build new landing pages quickly and shape the site around their content.
Key functionality includes an integrated Sonas enquiry form, MailChimp signup, performance optimisation and a fully responsive framework designed for mobile-first browsing. Clear structure, smooth navigation and an intuitive CMS make the site easy to manage while delivering a welcoming, user-friendly experience for couples exploring the venue.
Project outcome
The new Wooladon Estate Weddings website presents the venue with clarity, warmth and confidence, aligning perfectly with the estate’s character and long-term vision.
Early feedback has shown an increase in high-quality enquiries and smoother lead capture through the integrated Sonas system, giving the team a platform that supports both their day-to-day marketing and the continued growth of their wedding offering.

Project overview
A bespoke wedding venue website created to showcase one of Devon’s most picturesque countryside estates.
Wooladon Estate is a secluded Georgian estate on the Devon and Cornwall border, offering weddings, accommodation and luxury countryside experiences across 500 acres of woodland and lakes. We were commissioned to design and develop a wedding-focused WordPress website that captured the estate’s rustic elegance while supporting enquiries and showcasing the venue, accommodation and surrounding landscape.
