Perched atop a North Devon cliff and surrounded by an area of outstanding natural beauty, The Sandy Cove Hotel offers a breathtaking setting where time seems to stand still.
The Hotel's owners didn't feel that their website effectively told their story, lacking the strength and emotion that their hotel naturally exuded. They approached us to design a new website that would enhance the user experience, help boost bookings, and thoughtfully capture the hotel's unique spirit.
An Elegant New Design
Our goal was to design an elegant brochure site that showcases the hotel's breathtaking location for luxurious coastal getaways, unique weddings, and exceptional dining experiences. We seamlessly integrated the hotel's existing booking and voucher systems to ensure a smooth user journey from landing page to reservation.
We drew inspiration from Sandy Cove's coastal setting to convey a sense of serene luxury. Our new design system offers a contemporary, editorial feel, emphasising the hotel's stunning photography. This approach allows their content to tell the story while ensuring a user-friendly experience.
A Bespoke Content Management System
To empower the hotel's marketing team with the ability to quickly and efficiently update and add content to their website, we developed the site using the highly customisable Drupal content-management framework.
Flexible Page Building
We created a flexible page builder that provides users with a wide variety of content blocks to construct and organise their pages as they see fit. This feature allows for flexible, rapid, and on-brand page building.
Central Media Library
The CMS includes a centralised media library with robust search functionality, enabling editors and administrators to upload, manage, and reuse images, videos, and documents efficiently.
